Nursery trips

Learning beyond our four walls.

Trips are a regular part of nursery life at Look Who's Learning. Stepping outside the setting gives children the chance to explore unfamiliar places, encounter new sights and sounds, and build the confidence that comes from taking part in the wider world alongside their friends. Outings also support important social skills — taking turns, listening as a group, and behaving considerately in public spaces — in a way that's difficult to recreate indoors.

Part of the adventure is getting there. Over the past year the children have travelled by bus, train, and even Glasgow's own subway — learning about road and platform safety, waiting patiently, and finding their way around the city as part of each day out.

Our Activity Fund Each week, we ask for a small contribution of £2 per child towards our Activity Fund. This goes directly towards the cost of trips like the ones below, along with seasonal celebrations such as our Christmas and Easter parties, birthday gifts, visiting entertainers including an animal handler and a magician, and the craft materials used throughout the year. We also offer optional weekly classes in French, football and yoga, each available for an additional £2 per class, giving children the chance to try something new alongside their usual nursery routine.
